"The Mansion": A thrilling journey about Chinese folk horror

You are a girl who tries to retrieve your dead grandma's memory pieces (three objects) by venturing into the haunted mansion;
"You" are a monster residing in the mansion trying to eliminate the girl who intrudes on your territory...
"The Mansion" requires two players to compete with each other in different ways: one in a 3D action game perspective; the other in a 2D top-down perspective. Our creative direction revolves around Chinese traditional folklore horror which we hope our audiences to understand more about the culture behind.

Project Overview
I designed the game level as well as the environment concept art to get a more cohesive style for the game.
The overall idea for the level is to create a maze-like structure in which players in the 3D view need to navigate through the map by looking at signs and lights in the scene. Also, this level design choice will give the player in the 2D view more sense of freedom to manipulate monsters to defeat the other player using obstacles and blind spots.
